Today’s global health crisis is transforming healthcare delivery. While telemedicine isn’t new, the pandemic has significantly accelerated its adoption by both providers and patients.
The percentage of American adults who have tried these services has doubled since the start of the outbreak. While these can be positive developments for the healthcare industry, telemedicine also opens up healthcare provider organizations to increased risk– especially those running programs for the first time or at a volume substantially higher than in the past.
