Dr. Ariane Chapelle is an internationally recognized speaker, writer, and advisor in operational risk management and has been active in the field since 2000. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Masters Degrees in Business and Econometrics. Dr Chapelle the course “Operational Risk Measurement for Financial Institutions” at University College London for ten years, until December 2022.
Dr. Chapelle has published numerous books and articles on the topic of risk management. Her main textbook, Operational Risk Management: Best Practices in the Financial Services Industry, was published by Wiley Finance Series in December 2018, and rapidly became the No.1 best seller in its field. It was translated into French by Pearson in 2020 and was named “Book of the Year 2020” for operational risk by risk.net.
Dr. Chapelle founded Chapelle Consulting, an advisory and training practice that serves financial organizations of all sizes, as well as top international financial institutions and central banks, now BDO Chapelle. The firm received the Risk.net award, “Outstanding Achievement in the Year in Operational Risk” in 2019 and the SME Finance award, “Best Risk Management Training and Consulting Company in Europe” in 2020.

Jason is an expert in internal audit, risk management, and compliance. He works with leaders and professionals in audit, risk, and compliance with technical and leadership skills to navigate organizational politics and land mines through executive coaching, training, and facilitating.
Jason also hosts a top-ranked podcast, Jamming with Jason, that helps leaders make better, quicker decisions, take action, and know exactly what to say and do in any situation. Previously, he was chief audit executive, chief risk officer, chief ethics and compliance officer, head of information security, and manager for two international accounting firms. Currently, Jason is the president of Mefford Associates and CEO of cRisk Academy, the largest on-demand learning platform for internal audit, risk, and compliance professionals.
Rob Quail is a noted consultant, author, facilitator, and lecturer on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).
Rob established the Enterprise Risk Management processes, tools, and methodologies at Hydro One Networks Inc. that are widely regarded as best practice. These ERM practices and techniques, developed by Rob in collaboration with the management team at Hydro One, became the subject of a major leading practice case study by Harvard Business School.
Rob has successfully applied ERM methodologies to a broad range of business problems and challenges, including acquisitions, outsourcing, downsizing, large-scale IT projects, labor disruption, regulatory compliance management, major construction project management, strategic planning, and capital investment. Today, he provides independent consulting services in ERM, business process and technology outsourcing, and customer care to clients in a variety of industry sectors, including energy, healthcare, technology, agriculture, financial services, and government agencies.
Rob is a widely published author and is co-editor of the second edition of the textbook “Enterprise Risk Management: Today’s Leading Research and Best Practices for Tomorrow’s Executives,” published by Wiley in June 2021. Rob is a regular lecturer on ERM at York University’s Schulich School of Business in Toronto. He also has been a guest lecturer at Harvard Business School, Ryerson University, and Carleton University.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto.
