Compliance Week Survey: Coronavirus revealed weaknesses in companies’ GRC, data processes

Many organizations felt the pandemic revealed a need for improving GRC processes and technology within their organizations.

This is just one of many key findings in a new governance, risk, and compliance survey conducted by Compliance Week in partnership with Riskonnect.

The survey also revealed that:

  • 52% of respondents said their data resides in multiple sources and needs to be pulled together manually
  • 50% of respondents said they were not prepared for the coronavirus pandemic with an updated crisis management plan.
  • 35% of respondents said that a pandemic or similar global crisis risk event was not on their radar of potential threats.

The survey polled 261 compliance, risk, and audit executives from around the world to get a read on their organizations’ crisis preparedness and response.
