Risk on Trial: Challenging Risk Management\u2019s Most Widely Held Beliefs<\/h2><\/div>

Risk management is full of beliefs that have become standard practice. They shape decisions, influence accountability and appear in risk conversations every day. But familiar doesn\u2019t always mean right.<\/p>\n

In Risk on Trial, Riskonnect and RMIA put five of those beliefs in the dock. A jury of senior practitioners debates each one live, drawing on real-world experience across enterprise risk, cyber and technology risk, and major infrastructure delivery.<\/p>\n

Before you hear the jury speak, you\u2019ll see how the audience votes. Then catch the debate in action. The jury panel will disagree. They will challenge each other. \nCharge 3<\/strong>: Operational risk is a management problem, not a governance one.
\nCharge 4<\/strong>: Risk heat maps are a flawed tool and should not be used for risk assessment.
\nCharge 5<\/strong>: Opportunity risk is not a risk, it is an action to be taken.<\/p>\n
